Govinda Krishna Chettur, a colonial-era Indian government college principal educated in Britain, captures the essence of an intimate relationship very carefully in this text – precious, enchanting, marvellous. When times are difficult, and one feels torn apart by forces out of one’s control, there may be one motto worth remembering – “Love wins. Love always wins”.
